1-4 July, Gdynia, Poland – Opener Festival by Heineken Music

Gdynia, the part of Threecity (Gdansk-Sopot-Gdynia) is a port city with collapsing shipbuilding industry. The city of  apathy and “No future” graffitties on the streets. On these days Gdynia alived because of young colored people  that visited this city because of Opener!

It’s 9th release of this festival. It’s the biggest one in Poland with 100.000 audience gathered on the military airport Gdynia Kosakowo.

Who has played? Pearl Jam, Massive Attack, Kasabian, The Dead Weather, The Hives, Skund Anansie, Ben Harper, Grove Armada, Hot Chip, Fatboy Slim, Empire of the Sun, Klaxons, Archive, Maisyahu, Tinariwen and many more – the complete list of artists is on official website. It was impossible to see and hear everything, we decided to watch only three stages: The Main, The Tent and The World Stage. Walking through these three stages taken 15 minutes of pedestrian walk.

Personally I cannot point the best concert – many of them was incredibly good. Massive Attack and Archive was amazing. Eve liked Tinariwen. Pawel, what’s yours favorite?
